We love our Park

Volunteering

There are opportunities to volunteer everyday at the park with roles including visitor centre reception, health walk leader, conservation, education assistant, to name but a few. The Friends also run a volunteer session at the Edward Kemp Community Garden and Growing Area every Wednesday, 10-12 p.m. If you are interested in becoming a volunteer then please complete the application form below and email to Volunteering or send to Friends of Birkenhead Park, C/o Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre, Park Drive, Birkenhead, CH41 4HY.

Download our volunteer handbook for further information about the Friends, Park Roots CIC and volunteer policies.

Volunteers are an essential part of the park. There is a friendly, loyal team who take part in a variety of activities every day of the week.

The volunteers are managed by Park Roots, a community interest company formed by the Friends of Birkenhead Park. New volunteers complete an application form, have an interview and induction session. References and criminal record checks are essential for roles involving children. All volunteer enquiries should be made to either 07891 977337 or by email on Volunteering

Volunteers are needed to fulfil a number of roles and overviews can be found by following the link below. If you feel that you can help with any of these roles please download and complete the Volunteer Application Form and return it to the address on the form.
