Robert Lee's last journey

Update from the family

The family have sent the following update regarding Robert's last journey and funeral arrangements. for those unable to get to Landican you can watch a webcast of the service, see bottom of page for details:
The funeral cortege will be passing through Birkenhead Park en route to the Landican and anyone is welcome to come along. For those who would like to come, you are welcome to gather anywhere along the route. Of course, the Visitor Centre is an easy place for people to meet but it is entirely a personal choice.

The advice is to gather at 12.40 and we will begin the route at 12.45.
For your information, the route is as follows:
12:45 – hearse departs
12.47 – enter Upper Park at South entrance along Ashville Road
12.52 – cross Ashville Road into Lower Park
13.00 – depart Lower Park and continue route to Landican

Some friends are gathering at 12.40 at the Visitor Centre. N.B. No cars are allowed in the park so you would need to join by foot. There is plenty of parking space on the roads around the park (Cavendish Road, Ashville Road)
