Compost Workshop

Are you keen to compost your food waste but not sure how? Or, tried composting before but want to learn more? This session is for you.

11am - 1pm Saturday 24th February
Birkenhead Park Visitor Centre, Park Rd, Birkenhead

Description: Are you keen to compost your food waste but not sure how? Or, tried composting before but want to learn more? This session is for you, and it is free, but be sure to book your tickets as space is limited.

Composting your food scraps is a great way to reduce the waste your household produces! Join Minna Alanko-Falola of Compost Works in this informative two-hour workshop to get the skills and confidence to give composting a go. You will get lots of practical advice about the principles of composting, what you can compost, how to set up and manage your own composting system, and how to prevent things from going wrong. Our focus will be on food waste but the principles apply to garden waste too. There will also be plenty of opportunity for questions throughout.

There may be an opportunity to visit the Kemp Garden after the session to see the composting stages in action, if you wish to join this, please wear appropriate footwear.

This training is free thanks to support from Wirral Council. Places are limited.
